Info and support for Financial Technical Analysts

Welcome TASSA Members, Investors, Analysts, Traders and, Students!

TASSA is a non-profit professional society for financial technical analysts across Southern Africa.

Our aim is to contribute knowledge and awareness of how to use technical analysis and cycle tools to the institutional and active investor, as well as to private investors and traders.

We see our organisation as an educational knowledge and standards resource for Financial Technical Analysis, Quantitative Investment and Trading support systems for Investors, Analysts, Traders & Students.

TASSA is a member of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) and therefore our members enjoy the professional resource and networking opportunities offered by IFTA.

Globally, the investment industry and trading professionals, as well as private traders and investors, are using the well-applied Financial Technical Analysis to assist with the problems of timing, selection and allocation for relative strength and to benefit from multiple cycles operating in various time frames.

Technicals alone, or used with cycles and fundamentals - can be a vital strategy tool to manage risks and opportunities. TASSA argues that many technical, quant, fundamental and cycle methods can effectively complement each other for better risk and returns. Much of the investment industry is not familiar with technical, cycle and quant methods.

TASSA endeavours to raise the standards of investment and trading decision-making by contributing the integrity of high standard technical and cycle information, not readily available elsewhere

To this end, we organise  TASSA mainly virtual meetings, subject to availability of global or local presenters.

Our presenters at our meetings and information sources are usually professional technical analysts, successful institutional traders, investors and strategists. Presenters may be based in other countries. We hope to attract some of the best in the world. They may introduce technical and cycle analysis methods, systems, products. Some do so to promote their business, but we see our job at TASSA as selecting information sources that are supplied with integrity. Of particular interest to technicians and investors generally, is the growing field of behavioural analysis as well as analysing behaviour often real-time to improve long- and short-term outcomes.

Presentation meetings typically last between 30-60 minutes.

The public is welcome, however TASSA may charge non-members to attend a presentation.

We may occasionally levy an additional charge where we need to incur exceptional costs.

TASSA also provides pointers to courses and to the process of obtaining the CFTe and MFTA Financial Technical Analysis professional qualifications offered by IFTA.

TASSA is a member of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA).

If you are not yet a member of TASSA, your commitment to wanting to use technicals properly, will make you welcome to join as an associate member and get to meet and learn from other investors, traders and analysts.
